"Electroshield-K°" developed new transformers for power unit No. 3 of the "Akkuyu" NPP

Transformers
The "Electroshield-K°" plant (part of the "NEK" Group) successfully manufactured and tested a set of built-in transformers for generator busbars of the third power unit of the "Akkuyu" NPP under construction (Turkey). The equipment passed a full cycle of tests, which confirmed its compliance with Russian and international quality and safety standards.
For the first time in Russia, measuring equipment with such complex configuration parameters and a high primary current value has been created and put into production. Previously, such solutions were purchased exclusively abroad. The implementation of the project became a significant step in the development of the import substitution program in the field of nuclear energy.
For acceptance tests, a specialized installation was designed and certified, allowing testing at currents up to 50,000 A using a direct method. Such solutions did not exist at domestic manufacturers before.
The new transformers are a key element of the power output system of the power unit. Their design was developed taking into account the high power of the unit (1200 MW) and the requirements for stable operation under increased loads.
The implementation of this project strengthens the position of Electroshield-K° as a leading Russian manufacturer of innovative solutions for nuclear energy and a reliable partner of Rosatom in international projects.

"The project demonstrated a high level of engineering competence and confirmed the plant's potential to create unique equipment for the nuclear industry. The experience gained will form the basis for further development of the enterprise's production and technological capabilities"
