Enhim has mastered the synthesis of tributyl phosphate
Enhim (part of the NEK Group of Companies) has completed a key stage of laboratory synthesis of tributyl phosphate (TBP). This important chemical compound is of strategic importance for many industries and previously relied heavily on imported supplies.
Tributyl phosphate has unique properties, which makes it a universal and sought-after substance. In particular, it is widely used as an extractant for rare earth metals, a plasticizer, and a base for the production of aviation hydraulic fluid.
"We have successfully synthesized a high-purity product that fully meets all technical requirements. This result confirms the potential and opens up a real prospect for the supply of high-quality domestic TBP to the Russian market, where it is critically important for such industries as rare earth metal mining and aircraft manufacturing. This is our first step in expanding our product portfolio and contribution to the development of the country's chemical industry. In parallel with this success, the NEK Group of Companies continues to actively scale up our chemical production, expanding the range of solutions offered to customers,” noted Eduard Gavrilov, CEO of Enhim LLC.
This achievement of Enhim not only demonstrates the company’s scientific and technical potential, but also contributes to strengthening the country’s technological sovereignty in critical industries.
