Unitel Engineering begins the implementation of a project to provide the Republic of Sakha with a reliable and uninterrupted power supply
Unitel Engineering has begun the implementation of a major project to provide the Republic of Sakha with a reliable and uninterrupted power supply: “Modernization of a 220 kV substation in Olyokminsk, a 220 kV NPS-12 substation, a 220 kV NPS-13 substation, a 220 kV substation in Gorodskaya, installing a stability control system in a 220 kV KS-1 substation, and installing relay protection and automatic devices in a 220 kV KS-1 substation”.
The solutions involved in this project allow the creation of local stability control systems, relay protection and automatic devices and operating DC voltage systems, and the technical refurbishment of communication systems equipment for use in digital information transfer systems and data transfer networks, communications within facilities and uninterruptible power supply systems at 9 substations located in one of the harshest climatic places in the world.
To accommodate the planned equipment it is proposed that block-modular buildings supplied with lighting, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems will be erected on the premises of the substation. Details of the implementation of this major project, and full information on the performance of the work and the working conditions can be viewed here.
