"MosElektroshchit" to Increase Volumes of Electrical Engineering Production in Vladimir Region
An investment agreement on this was signed on the sidelines of SPIEF-2025.
On the first day of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, a tripartite agreement was signed between the Government of Vladimir Region, the Administration of Kovrov, and "MosElektroshchit" LLC (part of the "NEK" Industrial Group).
The document provides for the implementation of an investment project to expand production in 2025–2026 in the city of Kovrov, Vladimir Region. It is planned that the investment volume will amount to 2.8 billion rubles.
“This year, we have already planned investments in the implementation of the expansion project in the amount of 400 million rubles. The second stage, scheduled for 2026, is estimated at 2.4 billion rubles. The enterprise will be able to reach its design capacity by 2028,” said Nikolay Shemyakin, General Director of "MosElektroshchit" LLC.
He also added that the new capacities will allow producing up to three thousand units of switchgear and low-voltage switchgear units per year, while creating 400 jobs.
The Government of the Vladimir Region and the Administration of the city of Kovrov, for their part, will provide the necessary assistance in resolving issues of creating infrastructure, providing a land plot and connecting production capacities to gas distribution and energy networks.
"We welcome and support the investor's plans. They will contribute to the socio-economic development of the second largest city in the Vladimir Region, import substitution and strengthening the technological sovereignty of our country," emphasized Alexander Avdeev.
The agreement also provides for the "single window" principle, subject to work on support with the ANO "Agency for Economic Development of the Vladimir Region".
"MosElektroshchit" is one of the oldest enterprises among the assets included in the National Energy Company. For 78 years, the company has been a leading manufacturer and supplier of electrical equipment in our country. The enterprise became part of the "NEK" industrial Group in May last year.
