"NEK" to invest 3.5 billion in production development in Lipetsk Region

A cooperation agreement was signed today at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025) by Igor Artamonov, Governor of Lipetsk Region, and Dmitry Filatov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC "National Energy Company" ("NEK"), which includes "Lipetsk High-Voltage Equipment Plant" LLC.

"Lipetsk High-Voltage Equipment Plant" LLC is an investment project created with the aim of mastering the technology of localizing the production of innovative industrial products of gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) for voltage classes from 110 kV to 500 kV in the Russian Federation. "NEK" JSC will invest about 3.5 billion rubles in the construction and equipment of a new production site in the Lipetsk PPT SEZ. The enterprise will create more than 200 jobs.

"The project to localize the production of switchgear is of critical importance for Russia's energy security. It will not only provide domestic energy companies with modern high-tech equipment, but will also create new highly qualified jobs, stimulating the development of innovations in the industry.
