"NTZMK" has begun shipping steel structures for Almaty Thermal Power Plant-3

NTZMK Steel structures
The first 150 tons of products have already been shipped to Kazakhstan, where the combined heat and power plant is being reconstructed. Built in 1962, Thermal Power Plant-3 is inefficient due to its service life being exhausted. The project calls for the construction of a completely new power plant with greater capacity and operational flexibility. "NTZMK" will manufacture lattice and solid-wall columns for the main frame for its construction. The company will supply over 2,000 tons of products for the project.

The new power plant will generate combined heat and power. A key aspect of the project is the replacement of outdated coal-fired equipment with modern, environmentally friendly combined-cycle power units with a capacity of up to 450 MW, running on natural gas. Completely converting CHPP-3 from coal to gas will help improve the plant's environmental performance and reduce its negative impact on the region's environment. Commissioning of the new CHPP-3 is scheduled for 2026.
"The structural elements for the thermal power plant are standard products of the plant. The structure will be required to withstand wind, thermal, and operational loads, which means that welding quality, assembly precision, and corrosion protection must be top-notch. Our steel structures can handle challenges of any complexity, ensuring the reliability of the structures being constructed"
Konstantin Bisharov Deputy Chief Technologist at "NTZMK"
