"NTZMK" is preparing a site for the installation of new equipment

Large-scale work will begin with the dismantling of the workshop floors. Construction of a 335 m² foundation will occur in parallel with the main production process. More than 300 m³ of concrete will be required for the construction of the site. The foundation must support equipment weighing 140 tons and its vibration loads. A high-speed three-axis milling and drilling machine with a mobile gantry will be installed on the site. Chinese developers are already completing its production, custom-ordered by "NTZMK" (part of the "NEC" Group).

The manufacturers equipped the machine with a 50 kW main rotary milling head and 45 kW side milling heads. It offers a wide range of capabilities: pre-milling of the flange mating plane, automatic flange finish milling, and automatic machining of metal structures in five planes without changing the workpiece's position. Drilling, countersinking, marking, engraving, and milling can be performed simultaneously on the side surfaces of the structure being processed. The machine can drill access holes in assembled beams, increasing the manufacturing accuracy of the structure.
"
The installation is designed to replace an outdated Gorky-based machine for milling the ends of metal structures. This unique milling machine will join the plant's equipment fleet in March. Commissioning will also begin at that time. The implementation of this large-scale production project will allow "NTZMK" to significantly increase its production volumes.
"The machine is designed for milling large structures such as beams and columns. It can process 14-meter-long parts up to 3 meters wide and up to 1.8 meters high. There are no comparable machines in the world," said Technical Director Evgeny Beltyukov.
