Russian company "RTK-ELEKTRO" provided technological equipment for a strategic hydroelectric power station in Ecuador
The TKLN cast busbar, manufactured by "RTK-ELEKTRO" (part of the "NEK" industrial Group), has become an important component of the largest hydroelectric power project, Toachi Pilaton, in Ecuador. The equipment provides power for the Ayuriquin station’s own needs, one of the key facilities in the cascade of hydroelectric power stations.
The installed busbar is 369 meters long. During the design, special attention was paid to maintaining the permissible voltage drop level at the end of the line. An innovative solution was to install the main part of the busbar in a tunnel laid in the rock. Special fastening systems were developed and used to ensure reliability and safety of operation.
The Toachi Pilaton hydroelectric power project is a large-scale construction project that includes two key hydroelectric power stations: Sarapuyo and Ayuriquin. The complex uses the water resources of the Pilaton and Toachi rivers and covers three provinces of Ecuador: Pichincha, Santo Domingo and Mejia. The cascade includes eight facilities with a total installed capacity of 254.53 MW, which will significantly improve the country's energy balance. The project is a priority for the state energy policy. Recently, the facility was visited by the Minister of Energy and Non-Renewable Natural Resources of Ecuador Octaviano Antonio Gonçalves Savinovich.
The "RTK-ELECTRO" company continues to contribute to the development of modern energy solutions, confirming the high quality and technological advancement of its products at the international level.
