"Unitel Engineering" (part of the "NEK" industrial Group) has supplied electrical equipment for the Rooppur NPP under construction in Bangladesh. The NPP is being built by Atomstroyexport JSC (part of the engineering division of the Rosatom State Corporation).

The order for the Rooppur NPP has become a landmark in the "Unitel Engineering" portfolio. The contract for a comprehensive supply was signed in 2021. The scope of work included a full cycle: from design and production to delivery, installation supervision and commissioning. To date, "Unitel Engineering" has completed the shipment of all products under the project, and all work at the NPP is planned to be completed by the end of 2025.

The scope of supply included the following NPP power distribution systems:
- Relay protection and automation (RPA);
- Automated information and measuring system for commercial electricity metering (AIIS KUE);
- System for monitoring and controlling electrical equipment of the power distribution system (SKU EC SVM);
- System for collecting technological information (SSTI);
- System for monitoring transient modes (SMPR);
- Determination of the fault location (OLD);
- Backup central signaling (RCS);
- Communication equipment.

"Unitel Engineering" specialists also developed, manufactured and supplied equipment for the central control panel, including a video wall, printers, operator workstations and industrial furniture.

The equipment was manufactured at a modern plant in Cheboksary.
In the process of designing and manufacturing the products, advanced technical solutions were used to ensure compliance with high international standards.

During the work on the project, "Unitel Engineering" employees successfully coped with many challenges: performing a large volume of work on developing technical solutions, organizing complex transportation, providing special storage conditions taking into account the specifics of the tropical climate. Thanks to the professionalism of the team and effective project management, all tasks were completed within the established deadlines.

The Rooppur NPP is a nuclear power plant under construction in the People's Republic of Bangladesh. The Rooppur NPP is being designed and built according to a Russian project, which includes the construction and commissioning of two power units with WWER-1200 reactors with an electrical capacity of 1200 MW each. It is planned that the Rooppur NPP will generate up to 9% of all electricity in the Republic. Preparations are currently underway for the physical launch of the first unit of the station.
