"Unitel Engineering" received approval from Rosseti for new protective equipment
The automation systems manufacturer "Unitel Engineering" (part of the "NEK" industrial Group) successfully completed certification tests of the UNIT-DZ arc fault protection device (AFPD) with the UNIT-BPTN power supply unit. Based on the results of the test, the certification committee of PJSC Federal Grid Company - "Rosseti" issued a positive conclusion on the use of this equipment.
The developed device is recommended for use in the modernization and reconstruction of the "Rosseti" electric grid complex. The UNIT-DZ AFPD can be used as an arc fault recorder in electrical installations with a voltage of 6-110 kV. The equipment is compatible with both direct and alternating operational current, which expands the possibilities of its application at energy infrastructure facilities.
Obtaining a positive conclusion from Rosseti opens up new prospects for the implementation of the domestic development in the country's electric grid complex. The device is especially relevant when replacing outdated arc protection equipment that does not require digital data exchange using the IEC 61850 protocol.
